NinePointTwo Capital

Prior to NinePointTwo, Tim was a quantitative analyst in the credit group at Ares Management, a leading alternative asset manager. He built a proprietary risk system unifying estimates across high-yield bonds, leveraged loans, credit derivatives, structured products, and CLOs. Adopted by the firm's senior credit portfolio managers, it was used to manage a $70 billion credit book. Tim also wrote its real-time exposure reporting framework in Python and served as lead quantitative risk analyst for the firm's long/short credit hedge fund.

He co-authored the 2017 white paper Key Considerations for Institutional Credit Investors. Tim is a graduate of UCLA and holds the Series 3 and Series 65 registrations. He supports the Milele Home foundation, which helps orphaned children in Kitale, Kenya find families and access education.

Prior to NinePointTwo, Joe was a private equity investor at Freeman Spogli & Co., where he worked directly with senior executives and board members across portfolio companies on operations, strategic initiatives, and capital structure, and helped source and execute new investments. Before that he was an investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, advising on mergers and acquisitions with a specialty in financial technology, and began his career in the private equity group at Ares Management.

Joe holds an honors degree from UCLA and the Series 3 and Series 65 registrations. He is an active member of the Young Presidents' Organization, serving on its membership committee, and mentors students through the UCLA Sharpe Fellows program.
